Lesley Goldman and Lisa Washburn Join Twin Cities PBS in Leadership Roles

Twin Cities PBS welcomes Lesley Goldman as Chief Content Officer and Lisa Washburn as VP/General Counsel

ST. PAUL, MN (April 18, 2022) Twin Cities PBS (TPT) announces the hires of Lesley Goldman as Chief Content Officer and Lisa Washburn as Vice President/General Counsel.

Goldman comes to TPT with more than two decades of executive-level content experience. As owner of Ladybug Films, she has been a media consultant in all areas of content development, creation, strategy, and distribution, with an emphasis on mission-driven programming. At WarnerMedia’s truTV, she was the Senior Vice President of Original Content, working cross departmentally to create a multi-year content strategy and build critically acclaimed, award-winning, original content. She also worked for Viacom’s MTV as an EP and Showrunner in the News/Documentary division and served as the Vice President of Development for Picture This Television. In addition, she has worked on productions for HBO and Nickelodeon. She holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wisconsin. Lesley is also a TPT Alum, having worked on Newton’s Apple very early in her career. Goldman begins her role at TPT on May 1.

Washburn comes to TPT from her position as VP/Associate General Counsel for Nexstar Media Group, and previously was corporate counsel for Tribune Media Company in Chicago until its acquisition by Nexstar in 2019. During her career, Washburn provided legal counsel to Tribune’s and Nexstar’s broadcast/entertainment group on all aspects of broadcast television operations and in support of company strategic initiatives, including FCC regulatory compliance, program production, editorial, newsgathering and pre-publication review, subpoena and litigation management, intellectual property-creative services support, newsroom talent employment matters, and digital/online publishing. Washburn has a BA from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from DePaul University. She began her role at TPT on April 13.
