Starting on January 14, “The Lowertown Line” will begin hosting monthly events at TPT’s newly-remodeled state-of-the-art facility in Lowertown, Saint Paul.

The full new-season line-up includes:

John Mark Nelson – January 14

The Cactus Blossoms – March 10

Sonny Knight and the Lakers – April 14

“‘The Lowertown Line’ is one of the only programs in Minnesota that profiles and showcases our world-class music community on television,” said Series Producer, David Roth. “It’s a thrill to be able to bring a diverse line-up of local artists into living rooms across the state and also invite people to experience the music live at TPT.”

Started in 2012, “The Lowertown Line” is a TPT-produced music show and event series, which features local artists and musicians performing at the TPT studios or at venues around the community. In addition to footage from the live event, the shows tell the unique story of the artist or band in their own words. The Emmy Award-winning show is known for high production value, artistic lighting design, sweeping visuals, and compelling stories of the artists profiled.

Watch the most recent “The Lowertown Line” episode featuring Cloud Cult online now and premiering on TPT on January 3 at 6:30 p.m. All previous episodes of “The Lowertown Line” can be viewed at www.lowertownline.org. These upcoming tapings of “The Lowertown Line” will air later in 2016 on TPT 2.

“The Lowertown Line” is made possible by the State Arts and Heritage Fund of the Legacy Amendment and the citizens of Minnesota.
