DEATH OF THE DREAM: FARMHOUSES IN THE HEARTLAND examines Minnesota's agricultural roots through the abandoned farmhouses that dot its landscape. Inspired by photographer and essayist William Gabler's book of classic farmhouses, Death of the Dream, the one-hour program explores the state's rural past and a vanishing lifestyle. Narrated by actress Linda Kelsey, the program features poets Robert Bly and Leo Dangel, and writers Bill Holm and Paul Gruchow. The documentary also features stunning photography and stories from historians, farm experts and people who lived "The Dream" of life on the farm.
