This concert features many of the songs from their 1983 iconic debut album.

Violent Femmes formed in 1981, an acoustic punk band playing the streets of Milwaukee, WI. Their 1st album amplified teenage angst in the 1980s with songs like “Kiss Off,” “Add It Up” and “Gone Daddy Gone.” Joined by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

About Violent Femmes 40th Anniversary with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album, the folk punk group Violent Femmes invited the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to be their “back-up band” in this electrifying concert which mixes classical and rock.
