About The Songwriters

Host Ken Paulson introduces viewers to the Hall of Fame songwriters behind some of the world’s favorite songs. Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, Gladys Knight, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw – all have recorded iconic songs from the pens of the legendary writers profiled this season. Recorded on and around Music Row in Nashville, each 30-minute episode traces the career arc of a spotlighted songwriter and treats the audience to original, acoustic renderings of hit songs from the creators themselves, including “The Thunder Rolls,” “(Sittin’ on the) Dock of the Bay,” “I Fought the Law (And the Law Won),” “In The Ghetto,” “Midnight Train To Georgia” and many more.
