Hillary Rodham’s call to public service coincided with the great social movements of the 1960s. After Yale law school, she went to work at the Children’s Defense Fund. She married the politically-ambitious Bill Clinton two years later, in 1975. In the first part of our series on the presumptive Democratic nominee, we trace her journey from childhood to her husband’s campaign for the White House.
