The Minnesota Orchestra's South Africa tour honors Nelson Mandela with musical diplomacy.

This one-hour special follows the Minnesota Orchestra on its historic tour through South Africa. The musical and cultural exchange honors the centenary year of Nelson Mandela’s birth through community engagements and concerts. More than 300 Minnesotans traveled to South Africa for the occasion. The Minnesota Orchestra is the first major US orchestra to ever tour the continent of Africa.
