Mid-life, Karen L. Charles had the courage too quit her day job and start a dance company.

Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Karen L. Charles quit her day job as a mathematician and arts administrator to start a dance company, Threads Dance Project, in 2011. Charles often draws inspiration from mathematical and scientific theories for her work. Her company was honored to co-host and present work by the 2017 McKnight International Choreographer, Salia Sanou of Burkina Faso and France.
