Sculptor and mixed-media artist Kristina Estell

Sculptor and mixed-media artist Kristina Estell’s work focuses on using organic materials in inorganic ways. For her June 2013 exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Posture is Everything, Estell utilizes large sheets of silicone to form mountain-like peaks. This work challenges viewers to question their perceptions of nature and landscapes.
