Josephine A. Geiger terms her stained glass work as "Landscape Mosaics."
Josephine A. Geiger came to the medium of stained glass from a synergy of passions for architecture and art. Born of inspiration to create a window without pattern, and seeded with a fascination for unique and absurd quilts, she invented an new style of glass art which she terms "Landscape Mosaic". Working from precut pieces, she adheres to technical demands for exact measurements, whilst allowing for abstract construction of color schemes and shapes according to the interplay of light, theme and visibility. Geiger's style creates a glass structure perhaps more akin to impressionism than traditional glass art. While her mosaics change dimension as the days pass on, her passion for her craft remains transparent.
