Physician-turned-sculptor Fawzia Khan’s artistic career was sparked by a worldview shift brought on by the birth of her son. Khan’s former career as an OBGYN and her experience as an immigrant both inform her art; and her desire to help people remains the driving force behind her work. Previous projects have focused on reactions to 9/11 and discrimination. Her latest project deals with the issue of pollution, specifically the impact of plastics on our environment.
