Carolyn Halliday creates sculptural pieces using everything from wire to cow intestines.
Fascinated by the sight of yarn being spun, a teenage Carolyn Halliday taught herself to knit. She eventually paired the traditional techniques of knitting, crocheting and embroidery with nontraditional materials. Using everything from wire to cow intestines, Halliday’s latest work includes sculptural forms having to do with themes of ecology and evolution.
