A Duet for Wreck, Choreography by Carl Flink with original music by Mary Ellen Childs
Choreographed by Carl Flink with original music by Mary Ellen Childs, A Duet for Wreck is an excerpt from Black Label Movement’s evening-length work, Wreck. Focusing on the reunion of a couple, this piece depicts two people struggling to occupy the same space after a long separation, like two halves of an iceberg that have collided back together. This intimate and bittersweet duet is performed by real life duo Carl Flink and Emilie Plauché Flink on location at the Soap Factory in Minneapolis. Conveying emotions from hope to agony to need to love, the final moments ask if it is all enough to move forward, united, but leaves the question unanswered. MORE INFO: The Black Label Movement
