A brief history of the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the black classical ballet dancer.

Today Fredrick Davis travels the world as a professional ballet dancer, but finding his place as a black man in a primarily white art was a journey. Dance Theatre of Harlem Artistic Director, Virginia Johnson, discusses the history of the company and its founder, Arthur Mitchell, who served as an inspiration for Fred as he fell in love with ballet.
