Dessa: A Minnesota Original Special

Dessa is a writer, rapper, singer and a member of the Hip Hop collective Doomtree. Her poetic lyrics and verbal agility have put her on year-end Top Ten music lists across the country. Dessa presents her latest musical tour de force at the Cedar Cultural Center, with a talented and musically diverse backing band including Heiruspecs bassist Sean McPherson, vocalist Aby Wolf and other special guests. Dessa is one of seven local artists commissioned by The Cedar in partnership with the Jerome Foundation to compose, rehearse and perform new music pieces in collaboration with other local musicians.
