Dr. M. Sanjayan Introduces Big Blue Live

PBS talks with co-host Dr. M. Sanjayan about Big Blue Live, which starts August 31 at 8pm.

Each year, at the end of August, blowing winds bring very cold water up to the surface in the bay. Along with cold water comes small life and big life: blue whales, humpback whales, sharks, sea lions, sea otters. Big Blue Live is a live television event that will capture the excitement, mystery and resurgence of Monterey Bay in California.
