Becoming An Artist

This program follows young artists from diverse backgrounds and distant regions as they apply to the Young Arts program, come together to share their work, create new pieces, and consider what a life in the arts might entail. This program serves as a companion piece to “Jazz Roots: Jazz and the Philharmonic” by providing background and context for the careers of many of the concert’s performers, whose talents Young Arts recognized and nurtured early on.
