Market Warriors' Pickers Toy Around In Minnesota
For this week's episode of Market Warriors, airing at 8 p.m. on tpt 2, the pickers are in Minnesota!
They head out to Oronoco, a town of about 1300 in southeastern Minnesota just minutes from Rochester, to the annual Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days. They're in search of an antique toy among the more than 300 vendors scattered throughout town.
Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days was established in 1972 and has become one of the biggest and best Minnesota antique shows in the Midwest. Every summer on the third weekend of August, antique and collectable booths turn Oronoco, Minnesota into a gigantic outdoor market filled with fun, color and the excitement of discovery around every corner!
Market Warriors host Mark L. Walberg observes the pickers as they’re teamed up, men versus women, in an effort to flip an item at the market. The pickers have a chance to increase their profits by auctioning an item on eBay.
Some key finds at Gold Rush Days include a vintage pinball machine, a Trifari bracelet and a trolley seat. Their selected items are sent to Ken Farmer Auctions in Radford, Virginia, where they go under the hammer.
Check out a preview of the episode below and be sure to tune in as the pickers "toy around" in Oronoco.
