Help Us Commemorate Constitution Day!
Hey, did you know it's Constitution Day?
Why does tpt care about the Constitution? Right now the tpt National Productions team is up to their elbows in civics for a new four-part documentary series called Constitution USA with Peter Sagal, coming spring 2013 to PBS stations nationwide.
Breathing new life into the traditional civics lesson, Sagal, host of NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," is traveling across the country on a Harley Davidson to find out where the Constitution lives, how it works and how it doesn't...how it unites us as a nation, and how it has nearly torn us apart.
So how can you help us tell this story? We want to include YOUR VOICE in this conversation!
In honor of Constitution Day, we want to know what the Constitution means to you...IN FIVE WORDS!
Starting with this question, we'll ask a Constitution-related question each month until the production premieres spring 2013 and responses may be featured on a production website for this project. Interested?
Know any family or friends that would be interested in sharing their insight? Pass this on! We'd be happy to hear from them, too!
Constitution USA with Peter Sagal is a timely and powerful series that will illuminate both the strengths and challenges of our American system of government, and explain how the Constitution, despite the tensions and conflicts that have surrounded it from its inception, continues to provide the groundwork for our democratic society and the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today.
