
Star-Studded Event Celebrates Longtime Music Festival
James Taylor, Yo-Yo Ma, John Williams and Keith Lockhart are among the artists featured in a historic concert at Tanglewood, one of the world’s most beloved music festivals and a place that serves as the summer home for the famed Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Great Performances: Tanglewood 75th Anniversary Celebration, airing Friday, August 10 at 8 p.m. on tpt 2, is a star-studded event features some of Tanglewood’s most distinguished and longtime guests
Located in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, Tanglewood is one of the world's most beloved music festivals.
The festive program will include Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, music from Bernstein’s On the Town, Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” and much more.
