SAINT PAUL, MINN. (May 6, 2021) – Twin Cities PBS (TPT) announces Rotolu (Ro) Adebiyi as the organization’s newest Board of Trustees member. Adebiyi is Senior Counsel – Insurance Law and Compliance for Thrivent Financial in Minneapolis.

The ability of Twin Cities PBS to create programming for literally all ages that successfully and simultaneously entertains and educates never fails to amaze me,” said Ro. “PBS has been a part of my story from the time I was learning to walk, and now my son’s favorite shows are some of the same ones I loved when I was his age. TPT is able to establish Minnesota’s important place in shaping and telling local and national narratives, cementing our status as content and creative leaders. I’m all in!”

Mr. Adebiyi was born in Nigeria and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. His past career positions include an associate at a Houston law firm, a founder of a web-based sponsorship-endorsement company, counsel for a small commodities trading firm, and a senior staff member of the 2012 Obama Reelection Campaign in Minnesota.

Mr. Adebiyi currently serves as Senior Counsel – Insurance Law and Compliance for Thrivent Financial. He was previously the Chief Legal Officer for its former brightpeak financial division. He is also a board member of the Bush Foundation, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, Reve Academy and the Center for Economic Inclusion.

“We are excited to welcome Ro to the Board of Trustees, which is made up of dedicated servant leaders from our community,” TPT Board Chair Rob Sit said. “TPT is fortunate to have the ability to tap into Ro’s expertise and experience as we continue to build our programming and services in furtherance of TPT’s mission.”
