Duluth-born stand up comic Maria Bamford returns to her native Minnesota for live shows at the Acme Comedy Club. From her interview, to sneak peek backstage moments, this funny lady is always on. Artist bio: Originally hailing from Duluth, comedienne Maria Bamford is the friend in grade school you always wondered what happened to. Her career began at age 11 when she starred in the Chester Park Elementary production of "How the West Was REALLY Won!" She gained national recognition for her work on Comedy Central, the documentary film Comedians of Comedy, and nationally-aired 2009 Target commercials. Her trademarks are her babydoll voice, talent for voice impression, and (of course) natural good looks. Now living in LA, she misses the eye contact she knew so well in Minnesota. That doesn't stop her from showcasing her voice or comedic talents. She's appeared on Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, and Prairie Home Companion with Minnesota's own Garrison Keillor. She's also well known for her very original and hilarious web series, The Maria Bamford Show on SuperDeluxe.com. Her voice talents have been featured on PBS Kids' Word Girl and the animated Nickelodeon series CatDog.

Air Date 5/27/10
