Sensory Friendly Second Saturdays

Sensory-Friendly Second Saturdays at TPT

Saturday, November 10

Location:
Twin Cities PBS - Studio A
172 E Fourth Street
Saint Paul, MN 55101

Celebrate World Kindness Day at Second Saturdays with Arthur, DW, and Buster! All three characters from Arthur will be joining us this month and they’re bringing all kinds of kindness crafts with them. Make a Kindness Rock, color a “smile it forward” compliment card, and contribute to our paper chain of kindness! Plus, meet American Sign Language interpreters and learn how to be kind and spell your name in sign language.

Our charity partner this month is the Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program. Please consider bringing new or clean, gently-used coats and/or winter accessories (mittens, gloves, hats, snow boots, snow pants, etc.) to keep Twin Cities children warm this winter.

Second Saturdays this month will be in Studio A so make sure to come all the way up to the third floor to enter the station.

What to expect:

  • Lower volumes, lighting, and crowds
  • A variety of adaptable activities
  • Instead of lining up to meet the characters, they will roam the room to meet everyone individually.

Some things to note:

  • Please register kids and adults separately.
  • Kids of all ages are welcome, and we encourage siblings to attend, too!
  • Capacity for this event is limited to make your experience more comfortable.
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Parking: The Lowertown Ramp (Connected to TPT) is accessible from Jackson Street, and Sibley Street. Take the elevator up to level K to enter the studio.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this sensory-friendly event, please reach out to us at [email protected].

We hope to see you there!

TPT is member supported! Feel free to show your support by including a donation to TPT with your RSVP. Donations are entirely optional. Thank you!
