Digital TV Channels

Twin Cities Public Television offers four channels of digital programming 24 hours a day.

Where to find us

tpt will be making technical changes to our transmitters on Thursday, January 28 at 9am. These changes may make tpt LIFE and tpt Weather easier to receive. If you receive television using an antenna – on a new digital TV or with a converter box – you will need to perform a "channel re-scan" in order to receive all of our channels. You can perform the rescan after 9am on the 28th. Some TVs or converter boxes may use different terms for "channel scan" such as "auto tuning," "auto scan" or "find new channels". Check your TV or converter box users' manual for specific instructions. All tpt channels are available free, over-the-air in our core broadcast area. For reasons beyond our control, not all televisions connected to cable or satellite will receive all of our channels. The table below summarizes coverage for the major cable and satellite providers in our region. Many smaller cable companies also carry tpt. If your provider is not listed here, please contact them for specific information.

Footnotes:

a – To see tpt 2 in High Definition, a viewer must have a HD television set. Cable and satellite subscribers with an HD television must also have an HD box from their service provider and may have to subscribe to a specific tier of service.

b – Comcast basic cable subscribers in the east metro who do not have a cable box will find tpt 2 on channel 23.

c – Comcast basic cable subscribers can begin receiving tpt MN without subscribing to a higher tier of service by asking Comcast to install a digital receiver box in their home. Comcast does charge a small monthly fee for rental of the digital receiver.

d – Charter Cable subscribers in the Mankato region will find tpt 2 in HD on channel 780.

etpt LIFE is not available to all Charter Cable subscribers. Check with Charter for information specific to your region.
