I have tried several digital tuners. The Insignia from Best Buy and the Zenith (which looks just like the Insignia) from Circuit City and Radio Shack are solid performers. My analog reception is snowy with shadows. The digital tuner cleans up the picture. However, when it is snowing, the channels come and go. Something new to get used to in the new digital TV age.

This box is manufactured by LG electronics and appears identical to the Zenith DTT900. I've used this box at home AND in my office in downtown St. Paul. It worked well in both places with just the RCA antenna.

I'm in the Highland area in St. Paul. Using a 20+ year old TV with VHF/UHF "rabbit years" I'm getting great reception on all of the following channels: 2-1, 2-2, 4-1, 5-1, 5-2, 9-1, 9-2, 11-1, 11-2, 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 17-4 17-5, 23-1, 23-2, 29-1, 29-2, 41-1, 41-2, 41-3, 41-4, 45-1. If you're tech saavy you may want to go into the menus and adjust the picture options (letterbox vs. zoom, etc.) but most people will be happy with the factory settings.
