Comments:
I've discovered an audio problem with the boxes manufactured by LG electronics - sold under the Insignia and Zenith brand names. If you use the RF (coax) cable to connect the box to your TV you only get the LEFT audio channel - not both channels mixed to mono. If you use the RCA cables to connect the box to your TV the audio appears to be OK. I've read that this is a design flaw in the boxes that will be corrected in the future - beware for now!!

Comments:
This box was extremely easy to set up and I'm able to get good reception on every channel -- even the channels that have very snowy/poor reception on analog. The antenna I'm using is very cheap--$15.99! The key to reception on all channels was to make sure he antenna is on an outside wall near a window. A long coax cable was all that was needed to do this. The only thing I don't like about his box is that the program information only appears when you are on that channel rather than giving you a schedule overview of all stations. It's really exciting to have such beautiful picture quality and so many extra channels for free. With all the great new program services from TPT, who needs cable?

Comments:
I could not believe the reception we get after setting up the converter box. I was apprehesive at first because I bought a digital TV a year ago from one of the big box stores and the digital reception is bad to nonexistant. The $60 converter box on a 20 year old TV works better than a $2000 digital TV. The Zenneth DTT900 and the Insignia are identical because I have one of each. We use to get such poor reception that we could not watch some of the local stations because there was so much static. Now they are crystal clear. And the new choices from TPT are amazing.

I tried two of these boxes using different rabbit ears antennas plus an antenna in my attic. All I could get was "no signal found". I'm in the 494 and Minnetonka Blvd. area.
