It is one of the hottest legislative topics of the session and today the debate over whether or not you should be allowed to carry a concealed weapon heated up at the Capitol. NewsNight's Mary Lahammer brings you the latest.

How is Pelican Rapids connected with Guanajuato, a small town in central Mexico? Ken Stone traveled to the Mexican village to find out what folks to with the money they make while working in Minnesota. Katherine Fennelly, a population expert and professor at the Humphrey Institute, will join Ken in the studio to add to the discussion.

Former Minnesota lawmaker and U.S. Representative Tim Penny has been appointed by President Bush to the sit on the social security commission. Penny will join us on the set and we'll ask him what sort of changes may be looming for the social security system.

Celebrating 150 years
The Grand Excursion of 1854 showcased upper midwestern communities along the Mississippi River. In 2004 the 150th anniversary of the Millard Fillmore led tour will be celebrated in St. Paul. Executive Director of the St. Paul Riverfront Corporation, Patrick Seeb, will discuss revitalization plans with Ken Stone.

Today is the day the Legislative session should have ended. Governor Ventura will be calling a special session, NewsNight's Mary Lahammer will fill us in on all the details tonight live from the Capitol.

...and talking the talk. The Minnesota AIDS Walk took place this past weekend. Tonight we will find out how things went, we'll talk to the executive director of the MN AIDS Project, Lorraine Teel.

The Guthrie Lab...
...presents a chilling play based on the the real life recordings from the black boxes that are used to record the conversations taking place in aircraft cockpits. Dr. Carol Ley of the National Patient Safety Foundation will tell us how this production is used as a teaching tool.

Tonight we will have all of the political bases covered.
