Endless Day was filmed above the Arctic Circle on the Lofoten Islands off the west coast of Norway. It captures a natural phenomenon called the Midnight Sun. During the summer months at this latitude the sun never fully sets, only skimming the horizon line. This "endless day" was filmed in real time then time-lapsed in editing. The never-ending day with its never-setting sun creates a visual metaphor for the recurring conversation between the optimist and the skeptic in Estep's 2005 video Ad Infinitum, the debate about meaning that never ends.
