Painter Matthew Rucker sheds light on a question he hears a lot: How do you mix color, being colorblind? Artist Bio: Minneapolis native Matthew Rucker is a self-taught artist. After studying philosophy and psychology in the late 1980's and early 90's, he attended the Art Institute of Chicago to study art more formally. He returned to Minneapolis in 1993 to pursue his career in the arts, later opening a gallery and interior design firm. His inspiration to be an artist came from his grandfather, who was a master woodcarver. He always received sketchpads and paints as gifts as a child.
