Elizabeth Simonson

Inspired by patterns and systems, sculptural artist Elizabeth Simonson turns everyday materials into beautiful, organic installations.

Elizabeth Simonson’s work has graced the walls of MOMA and the Walker. Her work may look chaotic, but it is all based on complicated, repetitive patterns and systems. Finding inspiration in everything from nature to mathematics, Simonson uses everyday materials like tape, wire, beads and fishing line to create her dramatic installations.
