Internships

Twin Cities Public Television values the educational learning experience and provides a way to link classroom instruction to real-world work experience through internships.

The goal of this program is to create a learning environment that teaches and trains undergraduate students in the community real-life work experience to seek and advance a career in public television or the non-profit sector.

Internships are offered quarterly and vary by department need. To be eligible for this program, the candidate must be:

  • Be a resident of the Twin Cities;
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university;
  • Be a junior or senior in an undergraduate program pursing a career in the public or non-profit sector;
  • Purse the internship for college credit;
  • Be a student in good standing.

Minnesota Public Television Fellowship

The goal of this program is to prepare minority graduate students for the workforce that are seeking a career in the public broadcasting or non-profit industry which combines academic training and a challenging project under the direction of the President & CEO or a member of the Leadership Team.

The Minnesota Public Television Fellowship is offered annually. To be eligible for this program, the candidate must be:

  • Be a minority as defined by tpt. Minority is defined as a person of color, GLBT, a person with a disability, or any other designation determined by tpt that reflects diversity;
  • Be a Minnesota resident;
  • Have completed a Bachelor's degree program;
  • Be enrolled or recently completed a graduate degree program seeking or with an interest in the public or non-profit sector;
  • Have demonstrated leadership abilities through education and training or on-the-job experience;
  • Be/Have been a student in good standing.
