Bridging War & Hope Public Screening
The Star Tribune said, "It is a sincere and intelligent look at a daunting effort in a country stung by three decades of war and Taliban rule." (read the rest of the review here.)
Bridging War & Hope is a tpt Original Production by Producer Luke Heikkila who traveled to Afghanistan and embedded with the Minnesota National Guard Agribusiness Development Team. This documentary chronicles a group of twenty-two Minnesotans that were deployed to Zabul Province in southeastern Afghanistan in 2011 and 2012. The mission of their deployment was to work with local agricultural ministries to prepare them to begin to help their constituent farmers. Located in some of the poorest, most-austere surroundings imaginable the Minnesota National Guard’s Agribusiness Development Team is bridging war and hope by providing opportunities to Afghan farmers that otherwise wouldn’t be available.
