The Art Of Connection: Arts & The Mind Part Two
The first hour of Arts & the Mind examined the critical role the arts play in developing healthy young minds, and keeping them sharp across a lifetime.
Now in part two of Arts & the Mind, explore stories and the latest scientific research on how music, dance, painting, poetry and theater markedly improve well-being.
"The Art of Connection," airing this Friday at 8 p.m. on tpt 2, depicts the positive effects of the arts for: children in hospitals; veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; building community in Appalachia; and warding off dementia.
Part two will explore other powerful ways the arts affect our minds, from newborns to American veterans of today's wars, to those in older age.
Meet artists and experts from across the country to see how art is the brain's lifeline to empathy, emotion, community, mental agility and healing.
Watch part two of Arts & the Mind, hosted by Lisa Kudrow, this Friday at 8 p.m. on tpt 2.
