Boyhood Friends Turned Into Domestic Terrorists During 2008 RNC?
"We're just going to protest, mom. We're not going to get in any trouble."
By the time David McKay and Bradley Crowder arrived in St. Paul for the 2008 Republican National Convention, federal informants and undercover police officers were already watching their every move.
POV: Better This World, airing Sunday at 10:30 p.m. on tpt 2, follows the radicalization of these boyhood friends from Midland, Texas, under a revolutionary activist Brandon Daharby.
The results: eight homemade bombs, multiple domestic terrorism charges and an entrapment defense hinging on a controversial FBI informant. The film goes to the heart of the war on terror and its impact on civil liberties and political dissent in post-9/11 America.
