Twin Cities Public Television’s Celebrated Minnesota Arts Series to Premiere Fifth Season
St. Paul, Minn. (Dec. 18, 2013) – This January 5 marks the premiere episode of the fifth season of tpt’s MN Original. The weekly arts and cultural series has seen numerous awards, accolades and successes since its inception in 2010, and tpt is proud to announce a new season and a new look for the storied show.
Season five will premiere a fresh new look and feel, featuring hundreds of esteemed artists including: Poet Robert Bly, musicians Nicholas David and the Okee Dokee Brothers, storyteller Kevin Kling, comedienne Mary Mack and many more.
“Season 5 is a coming of age for MN Original in a sense,” says Dianne Steinbach, Executive Producer of MN Original. “After five years of great success and support, we feel confident in our work and proud of our contribution to the Twin Cities arts community. We are thrilled to be such an integral part of telling Minnesota artist’s stories and can’t wait for years of storytelling to come.”
MN Original highlights artists and arts organizations throughout the Twin Cities metro area in a weekly 30-minute program airing on Sundays on tpt 2. Since 2010, MN Original has featured nearly 2,000 artists, nearly 200 organizations, almost 100 experts and more than 1,000 partners/collaborators. MN Original was the recipient of five regional Emmy® Awards this year including best Magazine Program and best Special Event Coverage for Rock the Garden 2012.
MN Original airs weekly on tpt 2, Sundays at 6 PM and 10 PM on tpt LIFE, Thursdays at 9:30 PM and on tpt MN, Mondays at 7 PM.
